Nou is a new video work by Jane Topping. Inspired by Naomi Mitchison’s Memoirs of a Spacewoman, Nou is a tale of time travel, hypnosis and transformation.

Nou is the sequel to Peter (2014), which won Best Short Film at the Philip K. Dick Science Fiction Film Festival 2017. Jane’s publication Peter and Nou (Good Press) will be launched at the screening.

Jane is based in Glasgow and is Programme Leader of Fine Art, University of Cumbria Institute of the Arts. Recent screenings include Experiments in Cinema v13.6, Albuquerque, New Mexico (2018), Picnic at Tornado Sands, Arcade East, University of the Arts London (2017), ANTIPHON, Kochi-Muziris Biennale, Kerala, India (2017) and solo exhibition Screen Used, Patricia Fleming Projects, Glasgow (2016).
