Old Hair is a programme of events organised by The Old Hairdresser’s venue to celebrate the wide variety of artists and musicians that have helped to make the space a vibrant contribution to the cultural landscape of Glasgow.

DIY multi-arts venue the Old Hairdresser’s presents an exciting programme of screenings, performances and artist talks. Featured artists include Kathryn Elkin, Rebecca Wilcox, Jane Topping, Ann-Marie Copestake, Emmie McLuskey,  Marc Baines, GasTower.com, Malcy Duff, The Rebel, Fallopé and the Tubes, Calum Stirling, Holly Pester, Charles Hayward, Francis McKee, Still House Plants, Neil Bickerton, Maria Rossi, Panel, Edinburgh Leisure, Sacred Paws, Joe Howe & Hardeep Pandhal, Brian Willems and Ben Graham’s performance ‘Amorphous Albion’. Calum Stirling will be presenting his Orchestrion ‘The Frolicsome Engines’ – an automaton making music, making noises, installed in the space for the duration of the festival and active between the programmed events. In addition, Vernon & Burns will be presenting an ‘Evening with Vernon & Burns’.

Together they’ll form a focused articulation of what this hub of the Glasgow creative community does year round, in terms providing of space in which artists can try out new ideas and mix up practices, creating opportunities for cross-pollination of ideas.
